First place in the NFC East is up for grabs when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the New York Giants at home. NBC will broadcast the game at 8:20 PM ET. Philadelphia is 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the division. New York also sports a 6-3 overall record and 1-1 division record.

This will be the first meeting of the season for the division foes. Philadelphia was on the winning end of both games during the regular season last season.

Last week, the Eagles pummeled the Redskins 59-28, a game in which Michael Vick played exceptionally well, completing 20 of 28 for 333 yards passing, 80 yards rushing, six total touchdowns and no picks. Dimitri Patterson also contributed, registering five tackles, two interceptions, and scoring one touchdown. In their previous outing, the Giants were brought down by the Cowboys, 33-20. Eli Manning went 33 for 48 for 373 yards through the air, two scores and two picks. Another solid outing came from Mario Manningham, who caught 10 passes for 91 yards and one score.

New York should have added confidence in its passing attack, which is ranked sixth in the NFL, averaging 272.0 yards per game.
