Philadelphia Eagles (7-4) Favored Over Houston Texans (5-6)

The Philadelphia Eagles play host to the Houston Texans this week. NFL Network will broadcast the game and kickoff is at 8:20 PM ET on Thursday. Philadelphia is expected to have the upper hand as an 8.5 point favorite and comes into the game with a 7-4 overall record and 3-2 home record. Houston has a 5-6 overall record and 2-3 away record.

Last week the Eagles were taken down by the Bears 31-26. Michael Vick went 29 for 44 for 333 yards through the air, two scores and one pick. Trent Cole also had a solid game, recording five tackles and two sacks. In their previous game, the Texans smashed the Titans, 20-0. Glover Quin was outstanding registering four tackles and three interceptions. Another strong showing came from Arian Foster, who carried the pigskin 30 times for 143 yards.

The Texans defense ranks 31st against the pass, allowing 297.9 yards per game, and may need improvement to compete against the Philadelphia passing attack.
