Several scores from LeSean McCoy were an important part of a blowout win for the Eagles over the Jets, 45-19, at home.
Michael Vick accounted for two touchdowns against the Jets (1 pass, 1 rush) on 15 of 22 passing for 274 yards and one pick. On the Jets side, Mark Sanchez did not have as good a day, going 15 of 26 with 150 yards passing, two touchdowns, two picks and one fumble.
McCoy ran all over the Jets for 102 yards on 18 attempts with a big three touchdowns with one fumble. In the fourth quarter, he took advantage of an opening for a 33-yard score. Brent Celek was a top receiver, catching five passes for 156 yards with a touchdown.
The Philadelphia defense was the major reason for the victory, limiting the Jets to 94 yards rushing and 147 passing, coming away with two interceptions. They terrorized Sanchez and the Jets offensive line with four sacks.
Jets tight end Dustin Keller put up 73 receiving yards.
The Eagles head to Arlington next week to face the Cowboys (8-6) while the Jets host the Giants (7-7).
