LeSean McCoy established the ground game, paving the way to a good win for the Eagles over the Rams, 31-13, in St. Louis.
Michael Vick accounted for two scores against the Rams on 14 of 32 passing for 187 yards and one fumble. On the Rams side, Sam Bradford did not fare as well on the day, going 17 of 30 with 188 yards passing, no touchdowns and one fumble.
McCoy was a key factor for the Eagles, running all over the Rams for 122 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown in addition to two receptions for 15 yards and another touchdown. In the fourth quarter, he found a seam for a 49-yard score. DeSean Jackson was a weapon for the offense, catching six passes for 102 yards with a touchdown.
The Philadelphia defense was the deciding factor in the victory, giving up 154 yards rushing and 181 passing while taking back one fumble for a touchdown. They harassed Bradford and the Rams offensive line with an imposing five sacks.
Rams running back Cadillac Williams had a big day with 91 yards rushing and 49 receiving. Running back Steven Jackson had a good game as well with 56 rushing yards and one touchdown.
The Eagles head to Atlanta next week to face off with the Falcons (0-1) while the Rams travel to East Rutherford to play the Giants (0-1).
