LeSean McCoy had a big day running the football, but it wasn't enough to avoid a stunning defeat for the Eagles against the Cardinals, 21-17, at home.
Michael Vick went without a score on 16 for 34 passing for only 128 yards and two picks. John Skelton put up better numbers for the Cardinals, and wound up 21 for 40 with 315 yards passing, three touchdowns and two picks.
McCoy was a standout player for the Eagles, rushing for 81 yards on 14 attempts with a score and had three receptions for 12 yards. Brent Celek snagged four passes for 53 yards.
The Philadelphia defense held up well in the loss, giving up 88 yards rushing and 282 passing while bringing back one interception for a touchdown. They tormented Skelton with four sacks.
Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald had a big game, putting up 146 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The Eagles head to East Rutherford next week to face the Giants (6-3) while the Cardinals go to San Francisco to play the 49ers (8-1).
