Michael Vick Wins the StatSheet NFL Offensive Player of the Week: 11-16-2010

Our own Michael Vick was named the StatSheet NFL Offensive Player of the Week after setting a personal season high for passing yards in a game. Vick connected on 20 of 28 passes for 333 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He also pitched in 80 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the 59-28 blowout victory over the Redskins. To this point in the season, he has passed for 1,350 yards to go along with a 62.7% completion rate, 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

This is the first time this season that Vick has won the award. Running back Keiland Williams of the Redskins is the runner-up (89 rush yds, 50 rec yds, 3 TD). Honorable mention goes to wide receiver Dwayne Bowe from the Chiefs (13 rec, 186 rec yds, 2 TD).

StatSheet NFL Defensive Player of the Week: Mario Haggan, Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos linebacker Mario Haggan had a spectacular game as he set a personal season high for sacks in a game which cleared the path for his StatSheet NFL Defensive Player of the Week win. Haggan recorded six solo tackles, three sacks, and one forced fumble during the dominate 49-29 win against the Chiefs. For the year, he has 57 tackles and three sacks.

This is the first time Haggan has earned the award this season. The runner-up is cornerback Dimitri Patterson of the Eagles (5 tkls, 5 solo, 2 int). Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry receives honorable mention (7 tkls, 7 solo, 2 sacks, 1 FF).

StatSheet NFL Offensive Rookie of the Week: Keiland Williams, Washington Redskins

Washington Redskins running back Keiland Williams played incredibly well, reaching the end zone three times in his last game. Williams finished the day with 89 yards on the ground on 16 rush attempts, 50 receiving yards and three total touchdowns in the 59-28 blowout loss against the Eagles. For the year, he has rushed for 127 yards in addition to five touchdowns.

This is the first time Williams has received the StatSheet NFL Offensive Rookie of the Week award this season. Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is the runner-up (5 rec, 72 rec yds, 3 TD). Honorable mention goes to Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham (9 rec, 85 rec yds, 1 TD).

StatSheet NFL Defensive Rookie of the Week: Bryan McCann, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Bryan McCann was a force all over the field this past week. McCann put up five solo tackles and one interception during the 33-20 win against the Giants. For the season, he has six tackles and one interception.

McCann wins his first StatSheet NFL Defensive Rookie of the Week award this season. The runner-up is Browns cornerback Joe Haden (6 tkls, 6 solo, 1 int). Safety Reshad Jones of the Dolphins receives honorable mention (2 tkls, 2 solo, 1 sack, 1 int). The highest ranking player from the Eagles is safety Kurt Coleman, who finished fourth (5 tkls, 4 solo, 1 int).
