This is the first time this season that Brees has won the award. Running back Beanie Wells of the Cardinals is the runner-up (27 car, 228 rush yds, 1 TD). Honorable mention goes to wide receiver Victor Cruz from the Giants (9 rec, 157 rec yds, 2 TD). Wide receiver Jason Avant, who finished 21st, was the highest ranking player from the Eagles (8 rec, 110 rec yds, 1 TD).

StatSheet NFL Defensive Player of the Week: Connor Barwin, Houston Texans
The NFL season high for sacks in a game was tied by Houston Texans linebacker Connor Barwin, clearing the path for his StatSheet Defensive Player of the Week win. Barwin had seven solo tackles and four sacks during the 20-13 win against the Jaguars. For the year, he has 34 tackles and 8.5 sacks.
This is the first time Barwin has earned the award this season. The runner-up is linebacker Terrell Suggs of the Ravens (3.0 tkls, 3.0 solo, 3.0 sacks, 1.0 FF). Jaguars cornerback Ashton Youboty receives honorable mention (8.0 tkls, 8.0 solo).

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz had the most receiving yards in the NFL last week. Cruz finished the game with nine receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns in the 49-24 blowout loss against the Saints. So far this season, he has 957 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.
Cruz receives the StatSheet NFL Offensive Rookie of the Week award for the second time this season. Redskins running back Roy Helu is the runner-up (108 rush yds, 54 rec yds, 1 TD). Honorable mention goes to Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray (87 rush yds, 41 rec yds).

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Sam Acho made big plays in the backfield, setting a personal season high for sacks in a game. Acho racked up three solo tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble during the close 23-20 win over the Rams. For the season, he has 23 tackles and five sacks.
Acho wins his second StatSheet NFL Defensive Rookie of the Week award this season. The runner-up is Broncos linebacker Von Miller (10.0 tkls, 8.0 solo, 1.0 sack). Defensive end J.J. Watt of the Texans receives honorable mention (7.0 tkls, 5.0 solo, 2.0 sacks).
