Oakland Raiders Michael Bush Wins the StatSheet NFL Offensive Player of the Week: 11-15-2011

Oakland Raiders running back Michael Bush was the NFL leader in rushing yardage, propelling him to the StatSheet NFL Offensive Player of the Week award. Bush had 157 yards rushing on 30 carries, 85 yards receiving and one touchdown in the 24-17 victory against the Chargers. To this point in the season, he has rushed for 490 yards in addition to five touchdowns.

This is the first time this season that Bush has won the award. Running back Arian Foster of the Texans is the runner-up (84 rush yds, 102 rec yds, 2 TD). Honorable mention goes to tight end Rob Gronkowski from the Patriots (8 rec, 113 rec yds, 2 TD). Running back LeSean McCoy, who finished 23rd, was the highest ranking player from the Eagles (14 car, 81 rush yds, 1 TD).

StatSheet NFL Defensive Player of the Week: Andre Carter, New England Patriots

A new NFL season high for sacks in a game was set by New England Patriots defensive end Andre Carter, leading him to be named StatSheet Defensive Player of the Week. Carter recorded five solo tackles and four sacks during the decisive 37-16 win over the Jets. For the year, he has 37 tackles and nine sacks.

This is the first time Carter has earned the award this season. The runner-up is linebacker Kamerion Wimbley of the Raiders (7.0 tkls, 7.0 solo, 4.0 sacks). Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich receives honorable mention (5.0 tkls, 4.0 solo, 2.0 int). Finishing in 15th is cornerback Asante Samuel from the Eagles (4.0 tkls, 3.0 solo, 1.0 int).

StatSheet NFL Offensive Rookie of the Week: Denarius Moore, Oakland Raiders

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore refused to be locked down, leading the AFC in receiving yards. Moore finished the day with 123 yards on five receptions and two touchdowns in the 24-17 victory against the Chargers. On the year, he has gained 396 yards receiving to go along with five touchdowns.

Moore receives the StatSheet NFL Offensive Rookie of the Week award for the second time this season. Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray is the runner-up (135 rush yds, 36 rec yds, 1 TD). Honorable mention goes to Chargers wide receiver Vincent Brown (5 rec, 97 rec yds, 1 TD).

StatSheet NFL Defensive Rookie of the Week: Ryan Kerrigan, Washington Redskins

Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan made big plays in the backfield, setting a personal season high for sacks in a game. Kerrigan finished with five solo tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles during the 20-9 loss to the Dolphins. For the season, he has 42 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and one interception.

Kerrigan wins his second StatSheet NFL Defensive Rookie of the Week award this season. The runner-up is Titans linebacker Akeem Ayers (6.0 tkls, 6.0 solo, 1.0 sack). Cornerback Chris Harris of the Broncos receives honorable mention (8.0 tkls, 8.0 solo). The highest ranking player from the Eagles is safety Jaiquawn Jarrett, who finished sixth (7.0 tkls, 6.0 solo).
